Portfolio - Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees
The title for this series is a quote from French Poet and Philosopher Paul Valery. His quote is also the title of the large 128" x 84" painting in this series, "The Future, like everything else, is never the same." The painting quote just seemed so apt and so connected to the image, especially since Covid. It seemed to perfectly sum up my feelings about the Pandemic and the past year.
The title for this Series is also a quote from Valery that I came across and was an excellent description of really "seeing" for me.
